Pamela Brown

Pamela Brown is the Assistant Director for Global Internships and Pre-Law Advising at the Magner Career Center; Liaison for the School of Humanities and Social Sciences; with 15 years of progressive experience demonstrating comprehensive understanding of career development, job search strategies and employer relations. Pamela works creatively and effectively with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and employers, providing vision, guidance and support for campus "interning-abroad" events and activities. She has established international partnerships, overseeing short-term and semester-long programs, as well as worked with third party programs. Organized vision for first "Going Global Student Expo Exhibit” on campus, held at Brooklyn College Library. As the Pre-Law Advisor, her basic responsibilities include collecting, organizing and providing for students appropriate information concerning legal education and the legal profession, sponsoring pre-law events, and assisting students in the law school application process. This assistance usually includes, but is not limited to, supplying basic information and appropriate materials such as information on the Law School Admission Test (LSAT), the Law School Admissions Council (LSAC), Annual Law School Forums and Personal statement techniques.

An Important Internship Disclaimer: Please read carefully!

Due to the urgent need for proper health precautions in employment settings during COVID-19, CUNY has informed the campuses that student internship-seekers should be performing their new roles in remote-only format, in most, if not all cases. For those instances where an exception can be made, a waiver is required to ensure procedures are in place to keep staff (including the interns) protected against the coronavirus. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure they or the employer provide documentation of the employer’s safety protocols must be submitted to the Magner Career Center prior to the student commencing work.
