Building Resiliency for Florida’s children and families is a top priority of the Florida Department of Education. Resiliency Coaches are trusted adults able to support all students as they build resiliency to face day-to-day challenges. Parents, grandparents, school mentors and volunteers, with a current Level II background screening, are eligible to become a Resiliency Coach.
As a mentor, you can be the difference that helps students stay on track and believe in their future.
Steps to become a Resiliency Coach:

Complete a 1-hour online training course
Complete the BPS Mentor Agreement and send it to the school mentor coordinator. Use this link: BPS Mentor Agreement Form
Participate in a 4-hour supervised volunteer practicum and submit a final survey
By completing these steps, you will be eligible to receive a $150 stipend. Please note that district employees are not eligible to receive the stipend.
