The goal of Brevard Public Schools Instructional Materials Department is to select and provide state and school board approved instructional materials for all students.

Teachers, Parents, Students and Community Members

This year’s K-12 English Language Arts instructional materials adoption is underway, and the student materials that will be approved for adoption at the February 9th school board meeting are available for you to preview digitally.

o What: Preview recommended ELA instructional materials online for K-12.

o When: Anytime

The public may petition any instructional materials found to be objectionable through March 11 at 5pm. Click here for more info.

Nov. 16 - 30 ELA Public Input accepted on publishers making it to Round 2. Dec. 5 & 12 District Review Team uses Instructional Materials Evaluation Tool (IMET) to rate submitted publishersJanuary 13 Community preview of ELA Instructional Materials being recommended at District Office 1pm - 7pm January 19 Finalist for Instructional Materilals recommendations are presented to BPS school board for INFORMATIONFebruary 9 Finalist for Instructional Materilals recommendations are presented to BPS school board for APPROVALFebruary 9- March 2 Community has digital acces to all ELA Student Instructional Materials recommended for APPROVAL.
