Meet the Counselors

Hello, my name is Kristi Glass, and I am the academic counselor and testing coordinator for Shamrock ISD. I currently serve all students from EC-12th grade. I began working at Shamrock ISD in August of 2019 as the Elementary and Junior High Technology teacher before accepting the position as academic counselor/testing coordinator in December of 2021.

I graduated with a bachelor's degree in education in 2001 from West Texas A&M University. I am currently enrolled at Southwestern Oklahoma University, pursuing my Master's Degree in School Counseling. During my 21 years as a teacher, I taught 4th grade self-contained, 2nd grade self-contained, Elementary Technology, Junior High Technology, and High School Technology.

I have been married for 19 years to my husband, Andy, who is the Shamrock Elementary Principal. We have two children who attend Shamrock ISD.

Hello, my name is Kaitlin Tompkins, and I am the social, emotional, and behavioral counselor for Shamrock ISD. I currently serve students EC-12 grade. This is my first year at Shamrock ISD and it has been awesome! Last year was my first year teaching, I taught 4/5 grade math. This year I started by teaching 6/7 Math as well as Elementary and Junior High special education. As of this semester I will still be teaching math as well as some special education, but am so excited to make Mental Health counseling a priority throughout my day!

I attended West Texas A & M where I received my bachelors with a focus in education in 2018. I returned to WT a year later to pursue my Masters in counseling, specifically working towards my LPC (licensed professional counselor). I have worked hard the past two years through classes and also an internship through Tina Souder. I am all set to graduate this May 2022 (YAY)!

I have been married for three years now to my husband Eli. We do not have children but do have dogs, Max and Robi.
