Vaccination Records
Rabies vaccine information must be on file. You may upload a copy of the document to your Pet Parent Portal or provide a copy via email/text/in-person. The record must show pet's name, vet, date administered, date of expiration. In the event, your pet has a health condition that prohibits it from being vaccinated, a written vaccination waiver signed by a licensed local veterinarian is accepted.
Health/Behavior
You agree to disclose any health or behavior issues that could affect the grooming process as well as the health of staff and other clients. Health issues within 24 hours of the groom should be disclosed immediately. Dogs that require special handling will include a handling fee. If your dog is unable to be groomed safely, we reserve the right to refuse service.
Preventative Care
Flea & Tick preventative is necessary in the Southern US as well as heartworm preventative. Pet record should include the treatment regimen for these areas. Dogs with live fleas or ticks should not be brought to the grooming area. A safe grooming environment cannot be maintained with live ticks or fleas. Live ticks & fleas pose a danger to staff and other clients. We reserve the right to charge for removal of fleas or ticks. We reserve the right to refuse services for dogs with fleas or ticks.
No Boarding or Late Pickup
We pride ourselves in one-on-one care. We do not board dogs. You are expected to pickup your dog within 15 minutes of notification that groom is completed. In the event the dog is not picked up within 15 minutes, you will be charged a fee.
Cancellation
We require notification of any cancellation or rescheduling 24 hours prior to appointment time. Clients are sent appointment reminders one week prior to appointment and 2 days prior to appointment. Notifications are sent as a courtesy so customers have ample time to prepare for their appointment, reschedule, or cancel. Same day cancellations may result in a fee. Failure to pay the fee will forfeit future appointments. Customers with repeated cancellations will be required to prepay for future appointments.
Curbside service
Mobile grooming is a curbside service. Mobile units must be prepared upon arrival for your dog's needs. On day of appointment, clients receive an "on the way" notification and an arrival notification as a courtesy. You are expected to bring your dog to the mobile unit within 15 minutes of groomers notifying that the unit is setup and ready for your dog. If your dog is not available within 15 minutes of notification, your appointment will be considered a no-show cancellation and subject to cancellation fees. The fifteen minute window is determined by when the text is sent, not when the client reads the message.
In the event that you require the groomer to provide door service or in-home services, a charge for door-to-door service is added. Arrangements for door service or in-home service should be made within 24 hours of appointment. You are liable for any risks or damages incurred for door-to-door or in-home service.
Rescheduling
There are limited options for rescheduling and no guarantee that your appointment can be rescheduled. If customer cancels regular scheduled appointment or fails to show up for appointment, an irregular schedule fee may be assessed at next appointment. We offer a monthly service and your dog must be served each month.
Pricing
Quoted price of a groom is a base price for a dog on a monthly schedule with single coat. Long coats must be 1" or less. We reserve the right to charge extra fees for coat condition, extra coat, handling a difficult pet, or excessive matting.
Payment
Payment is due at time of service. Customers that pay late will be required to prepay for future appointments. Payments not received within 24 hours of appointment will forfeit future appointments with no guarantee of rescheduling.
Matting
In the event of matting, we will try to save as much hair as possible. If there is excessive matting, we will need to carefully shave under the mats. The process can be painful for your pet and may result in skin irritation, nicks, cuts, and bruises due to the matted hair pulling on the skin. Heavy matting may also conceal pre-existing conditions such as fungi or bacterial infections. We will do our best to minimize the discomfort for your pet but we are not responsible for any injuries or medical issues due to this process. If your dog is unable to be groomed safely, we reserve the right to refuse service.
Injury
In the event of emergency, we will contact you to get your pet to the nearest veterinary office for treatment. In the event, your are not available we will temporarily act as the agent for the care of your pet. All vet expenses will be the responsibility of the pet owner unless injury is due to direct negligence of the groomer. We will not be held responsible for any sickness or injury caused by the pet to itself during grooming or any accidental death of the pet due to a pre-existing health condition or natural disaster.
Safety
Shake It Off Dog Grooming LLC will take every precaution to assure a safe environment for your pet. Our services require interaction with a living animals. Temperament and condition of each pet impacts the time and work. However, accidents do happen, and you will absolve Shake It Off Dog Grooming LLC and its staff from any and all responsibility involving injury, escape, damage, or disease during and after their grooming appointment at Shake It Off Dog Grooming LLC.
