I grew up in tiger country, Columbia, Missouri where I was a Hickman Kewpie. I graduated from Columbia College with a degree in Fashion Illustration, and received my M.A.T. from Lindenwood University. I am Paul VI certified to teach religion. I have taught at St. Peter School in St. Charles, St. Joe Manchester, and St. Simon.
I am married to Mr. Tom Wilson, a Social Studies teacher at SLUH. I have two daughters, Betsy is a kitchen designer, and Katy is studying to become a nurse. We are a doodle family with a love for dogs.
I enjoy painting, quilting, and genealogy.
I love to travel to Denver, Fort Collins, and Cheyenne. A morning trip to the Denver Art Museum was interesting so see the Debra Butterfield Horses and a few Remington sculptures. I recommend a stop here if you are in the area. They have a very neat children's creative area (pictured below) on the main floor. That would be a lot of fun to make something at the different stations they have set up with nice art supplies.
The landscape photo to the right is one of the parks outside of Cheyenne, Wyoming. It is such a beautiful site to see when the sun is hitting the earth and the warmth of the terra-cotta colored rocks and earth is lit up and contrasting with the cool blues of the sky as the evening progresses. A prime example of when an artist paints what they see and captures that contrast that the advanced eye sees yet the camera can't quite grasp.
