The original meaning of a legacy project is a way to tell your story and communicate lesser-known facts and even deeper life meanings you would like to pass on to family and friends.
However, in the legacy project in our school, Southville International School and Colleges, the juniors and seniors who are 11th and 12th-grade students introduce the information and promote the strand of each to the lower-grade students who have not decided their strand yet.Â

How did the Service Learning Opportunities you participated in develop your 5Cs?
Participating in the legacy project developed my 5Cs significantly. I improved my competence by researching and presenting information clearly, and my character through the responsibility of guiding younger students with integrity and empathy. Collaboration skills were enhanced by working closely with peers, while creativity was fostered through designing engaging presentations. Finally, my commitment to achieve was strengthened by the dedication and perseverance required to complete the project successfully.

What are the new knowledge and skills that you learned or got to improve through the SL opportunities? How?
Through the legacy project, I improved my research and conveying skills. I learned to gather and analyze information about academic strands, and communicate complex ideas clearly to my peers and younger students. This experience enhanced my competence in research, communication, and teamwork.

In what way/s have those SL experiences shaped your character? (i.e. respect, responsibility, positive relationship, humility, integrity)
Participating in the legacy project shaped my character by teaching me respect, responsibility, and integrity. I learned to value others' perspectives, be dependable in my guidance, and present information honestly. It also fostered positive relationships and humility through collaboration and feedback.

In the legacy project, I worked collaboratively by dividing tasks, sharing resources, and regularly communicating with fellow students. This teamwork ensured our presentations were cohesive and effective.

Participating in the legacy project sparked my creativity. To captivate younger students, I devised interactive presentations and utilized multimedia tools, challenging me to communicate complex ideas in engaging ways.

In the legacy project, I faced challenges ensuring accuracy and engagement for younger students. To overcome them, I devoted extra time to research, sought creative presentation methods, and coordinated effectively with peers. Through prioritization and perseverance, I successfully achieved our goals.
