It’s On Us.mov

It's On Us

It’s On Us was originally written by the band AJR for the “It’s On Us” social movement to raise awareness on and entreat action against sexual violence against women and girls. In general, the song is about accountability—people taking action and being involved when they notice discriminative actions. It is also about ensuring people are not alone in their struggles. Accountability is necessary in learning environments as it can minimize the spread of discriminative ideals that may discourage others because of parts of their identity. The prevention of isolation is important for inclusion. We hope that this cover encourages people to collaborate to take a stand against gender discrimination in learning environments.

The Man

The song "The Man" was initially written by Taylor Swift and Joe Little and was sung by Taylor Swift. The song was released on January 24, 2020, primarily to object to the socialized toxic Masculinity where "The Man" is receiving preferential treatment by society. Furthermore, it is also the visualization of Swift herself strong passion toward achieving the legitimate, fair, and equal evaluation, treatment, and cognizance of women in society. As one of the people who concur and support Taylor Swift's intention, we hope to eradicate the issue of Masculinity from the current community by covering the song with the highest degree of respect and propagating the message.

Most Girls.mov

Most Girls

Most Girls is a song originally released by actress and singer Hailee Steinfeld. The lyrics first present the common judgments that women receive from society, and later on reassures women that there is no need to become discouraged or self-conscious due to those comments. The line "There's some days you feel so good in your own skin" promotes self-love and contentment, encouraging women to remain confident in public institutions, regardless of other people's comments. While the song talks about wanting to be like "most girls," we can soon realize that there is no single definition on what a "girl" is; this breaks the stereotypes that are often placed on gender. Moreover, we believe that this song holds the implicit meaning that there is no wrong in exploring your identity, and all that matters is that you find who you really are. By covering this song, we hope to spread the message to not only women, but also men, that one's worth begins with self-respect, and respect from the public follows.

Wraith's Faith

Scars To Your Beautiful

Scars to your Beautiful- Wraith's Faith.mp4

This musical piece brings up the beauty standards that are expected of girls all throughout their life. It speaks about the lengths that one will go to be perceived as beautiful, and the restraints these expectations put upon their life. It ties back to how this social standard put unto young women is put into all forms of context, including in learning environments. It then goes on to empower them in the beauty they already hold, and the power it gives them.
