The 6-foot-3 senior wide receiver was on the end of a 50-yard touchdown reception, but the Utica football team dropped a 28-13 decision at Cortland last Saturday. The Scotia-Glenville High graduate had seven catches for 112 yards. On the season, he has caught 24 passes for 385 yards, including a 77-yarder, and six touchdowns and is tied for the lead in scoring with 30 points.

The 5-foot-6 freshman midfielder from Scotia, a Scotia-Glenville High graduate, was named to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Division III All-Region second team. Prior to that, she was named Empire 8 Conference Rookie of the Year and earned a spot on the all-conference first team. McCarthy started all 18 games and was second on the Golden Eagles in scoring with 65 points on 34 goals and a team-high 31 assists. She had two game winners along with 23 ground balls, 10 caused turnovers with a team-high 93 draw controls. McCarthy posted a season high nine points with three goals and six assists in a 21-3 triumph over Sage on April 19, had five goals and two assists in a 21-12 victory over Nazareth and three goals and four assists in an 18-1 win

She scored five goals in her last two games and had three goals and an assist in a 16-7 Liberty League victory over RPI on March 29.

May 27, 2025: Jeffes, from Scotia (Scotia-Glenville) earned All-American honors at this year’s Division III Championship in Geneva, Ohio when he finished 7th in the 400-meter race (47.28). It was his fifth All-American honor, the first three coming when he was at SUNY Delhi.
April 23, 2025: The SUNY Cortland graduate student was named SUNYAC Track Athlete of the Week after winning the 400-meter dash at the Cortland Classic on April 19. His time of 47.17second broke his own record and is currently ranked eighth in Division III. The Scotia-Glenville High graduate also took the 200-meter dash (21.25) and ran a leg on the winning 4x400 relay in 3:10.32, which is a team and SUNYAC record and is ranked third nationally.

The Scotia-Glenville High graduate is seeded fourth. While at SUNY-Delhi, Jeffes finished seventh two years ago and fifth last year.

The Scotia-Glenville High graduate won the 400-meter dash at the Nazareth Challenge Cup in Rochester. His time of 48.52 ranks fourth in Division III. He also ran a leg on the winning 4x400 relay in 3:16.32, which leads Division III.
Dec. 10, 2024: The Cortland graduate student was named SUNYAC Indoor Track Athlete of the Week on Dec. 10 after a solid effort in the Holiday Classic in Utica on Dec. 7. The Scotia-Glenville High graduate finished first out of 27 in the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.94 and was third out of 63 in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.42. The 400-meter time ranks fourth in Division III.
April 27, 2024: The senior led SUNY-Delhi to a team victory at the North Atlantic Conference Track Championships in Oneonta. The Scotia-Glenville High graduate finished first in the 200-meter dash with a personal record time of 21.48 and took first in the 400-meter run with a time of 47.69. Both times were meet records. He also ran a leg on the winning 1,600-meter relay that posted a time of 3:23.86.
Jan. 27, 2024: The senior finished first in both the 200-meter dash (21.81) and 400-meter dash (48.22) for the SUNY-Delhi men’s track team at the Blue and Orange Invitational and Multi in Utica. The Scotia-Glenville High graduate has placed first seven times in nine events this winter.

Feb. 10, 2024: The sophomore set program records for the Siena men’s indoor track team at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational in Boston. Greene, a Scotia-Glenville High graduate, finished 136th out of 381 runners in the mile with a new standard of 4:07.60.
Jan. 19, 2024: The Siena sophomore, a Scotia-Glenville High graduate, ran a leg on the winning 3,200 relay and finished second in the mile at the NYC Gotham Cup at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island. Greene’s mile time was 4:17.44.

Feb. 1, 2025: Zoe Connor has stamped herself as one of the top throwers in Division III. The senior, from Scotia and a Scotia-Glenville High graduate, improved on her record in the weight throw with the SUNY Geneseo women’s indoor track team at the RIT January Invitational. Her toss of 58 feet, 5 ½ inches not only is the team’s new standard, but ranks ninth in the division. She beat her old record of 56 feet, 10 ½ inches garnered when she won the title at the Nazareth Conference Challenge Cup on Jan. 25. She opened the season by finishing first at the Nazareth Alumni Opener on Dec. 6. Connor also sparkles in the shot put. She finished first in all three meets including a personal record toss of 46 feet, 6 ¼ inches at the RIT meet. That effort moves her into the top 15 in the division. It gives her a six-for-six record this winter and 20 career first-place victories.
Dec. 7, 2024: The graduate student was named Empire 8 Conference Women’s Field Athlete of the Week after a big effort for the Geneseo track team at the Nazareth Alumni Opener Invitational in Rochester. The Scotia-Glenville High graduate finished first in the shot put with a program-record throw of 42-3½. She also finished first in the weight throw with a toss of 55-7½.

Feb. 3, 2024: The sophomore, a Scotia-Glenville High graduate, had nine points, nine rebounds and four assists to help the Bryant & Stratton Albany men’s basketball team top Bryant & Stratton Buffalo 67-57 in Albany. The Bobcats improved to 9-7 on the season.
Nov. 21, 2023: The 6-2 sophomore guard is starting for the Bryant & Stratton Albany men’s basketball team. The Bobcats are 2-3 after an 81-71 victory over SUNY Sullivan. The Scotia-Glenville High graduate is averaging 11.0 points a game and had a season-high 20 points in a 73-56 loss to Atlantis on Nov. 14 in Albany.
