I have been working at St Francis Xavier School since 2014 where I had the honor to start as the first Educational Resource Specialist. This position allows me to interact with students and families with all different kinds of learning strengths and challenges. My approach to assisting students is holistic. I learn as much as I can about the child's individual needs in order to put together a success plan. This is through a team approach and partnership with parents, teachers, outside professionals, and the Cura Personalis team.
A little about me... I originally hail from New York, but have made Arizona my home since 2001. My 2 beautiful children, Kayleigh and Ryan, are now young adults. Since earning my Master's Degree in Special Education in 1992, I have worked with students with neurodiverse needs in public, charter, and private schools. My previous business as a Education Consultant led me to SFX. I am a self professed nerd who loves to study how the brain works and how to use neuroscience to better educate children and best support parents.
