This week we will revisit the Rooftop Art theme by reading the book that inspired the theme, SAY SOMETHING by Peter Reynolds. This book is our One School, One Book for 2019-2020.
Art allows us to speak our minds, share thoughts, voice our opinions, express feelings, and connect with others.
This week our read alouds will focus on how art can be a powerful tool to SAY SOMETHING.
We will learn how a dance, a flag, and a statue are examples of Art is... Saying Something.
Happy Reading,
Ms. Tamra
P.S. Did you hear about the Rooftop Wishing Fence? Please join us in our last community art project for this year (details below).

The Wishing Fence
ROOFTOP is SAYING SOMETHING!
Our amazing Rooftop Art Coordinators have come up with a school wide art project while we keep or distance...
Families are invited to come to the entrance at the top of the Twin Peaks driveway leading to the school yard. On the fence you can attach your wish until the end of the school year.
Please write or draw your wish on a ribbon or card stock paper and attach it on the fence, there will also be materials provided onsite if needed.
We hope you enjoy this excursion to get outside and also still feel the Rooftop community is there with you all. Look forward to watching the wishes grow!
