Earth Day is a time to take action in support of the environment and think of ways to better protect our natural world.
On April 22, it will be the 50th anniversary of the first Earth Day celebrated in 1970.
I hope the stories and activities this week will inspire you to connect with nature and think about actions you can take to make our plant Earth a better place to call home. Have a beautiful week! Ms. Tamra

Activity #1
Connect with nature! Take a walk in your with your family or just look out the window and take notice. What things from nature can you see? Plants, flowers, insects, birds, clouds, fog, animals? When you are done observing nature, write a THANK YOU note to the Earth in appreciation.

Make a math problem:
The average American makes about 4 pounds of trash per day. How many pounds of trash would this be for your family in one day? How many pounds per week?
Recycle, Reuse, Refuse, Repurpose Pledge:
Make a plan to improve your trash footprint on our planet Earth. Make a poster and hang it up!
