During this very stressful time, I felt it was important to offer library resources for Rooftop families as we all grapple with how to talk to our children about race and our history of oppression. I believe books can be a great catalyst for such family discussions. I know I will be reading and rereading books and articles this summer to reflect on my own actions when it comes to race and strive to be a better educator/librarian for all our students.
