Parent Portal (ParentVUE)

ParentVUE offers secure and private access to your student’s school information, including:

• Grades and report cards

• Attendance

• District and school communication

• Student login information

• Online applications and forms
  
  

Each parent/guardian with educational rights to their student can have an account. Once you activate your account, you’ll use the same login information throughout your student’s time in SFUSD—no need to activate each year!

Parents/guardians only need to activate once.
If you’ve activated in the past, simply click “Forgot Password” and enter your username or email address. You’ll receive an email with instructions to reset your password.

Before You Get Started

Make sure you have:

• Your activation key (available from your student’s school)

• An email address (any email works—create a free Gmail account here)
  
  

Steps to Activate

1. Open a web browser on any device and go to portal.sfusd.edu

2. Click ParentVUE

3. Click Activate → then Activate Account

4. Read the Privacy Statement and click “I Accept.”

5. Enter your name and activation key exactly as they appear on your letter\

6. Click Continue to Step 3

7. Create a username (no spaces) and a password (7+ characters). Enter your email address, then click Complete Account Activation.

✅ Once successful, you’ll see your student’s school information right away!

You can download the ParentVUE app on your device. Search for "ParentVUE" on the Apple App Store or Google Play and click download. To get started on the mobile app, follow the steps below:

1. Open ParentVUE and click either Allow or Don’t Allow “ParentVUE” to send you notifications.

2. Swipe left and enter your Zip Code.

3. Click San Francisco Unified School District. It will ask you to verify, click Yes.

4. Log in if you have already activated your account or click Create an Account to activate.
