My name is Belinda Shillingburg and this is my 9th year at Denman. I moved to the Bay Area in 2012 and previously taught in Online, Hybrid and traditional school environments from Elementary to University. I have a Master's degree in Literature and enjoy keeping up with Educational Technology  advances  @britlitlover91.

I have been an EdTech presenter at statewide and national English and Tech Conferences. and am very excited to continue my partnership with KQED as a Teacher Ambassador and Digital Media Innovator since 2017.

My greatest professional passion is to equip students with the skills they need to think for themselves and pursue their own goals and dreams. Everything we do in 8th grade English and Accelerated Literacy this year is grounded in SFUSD's Graduate Profile and the six competencies of Deeper Learning to ensure that our future High School and College students become strong, digitally-literate citizens and critical readers, writers and thinkers.
