Early College

Early College is a joint effort between San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) and City College of San Francisco (CCSF) to prepare students for post-secondary success before they graduate from high school. Students – both on and off track – will achieve academic and career success when provided with an on-ramp to post-secondary education that is connected to real jobs. Early College offers support to all SFUSD students enrolled in CCSF while still in high school. Some benefits to participating in our program are:

• Save Money! Enrollment is free and textbooks are available from our large lending library

• Enter college with credit already accumulated

• Earn High School and college credit at the same time (3 college units =10 high school credits)

• Explore career areas

• Looks great on college applications!

• Bump in GPA for grades of C or higher

• Most courses are UC and/or CSU transferrable

• Most courses can be applied towards a certificate programs
