Commute Safety

The Commute Safety program aims to provide a safe connection to transit and employee parking lots for employees commuting to the ballpark during off-peak hours.

How does it work?

All Giants employees will be offered a $12 voucher for eligible rides to and from Oracle Park between 10:00 p.m. - 5:00 a.m. We encourage you to use this credit to get to or from nearby transit stations and parking lots during off-peak hours.

What is an eligible ride?

A $12 credit will be applied to rides that meet the following criteria:

Ride must be taken between 10:00pm - 5:00am
Pick-up or drop-off location must be within 0.25 miles of the ballpark (area shown on the map)

How do I join the program?

To enroll in the program, fill out the form via the button below. Once enrolled, you will receive an email from Uber for Business. Follow the steps in the invitation to join the San Francisco Giants account. Important: please do not forward this email or link to others, as the URL is unique to your email address.

2. Open the invitation email (which will come from noreply@uber.com), tap the link or scan the QR code, and sign in with your existing Uber credentials. If you have an existing Uber account, you may also receive an SMS (if opted-in to receive such communications from Uber). If you do not have an Uber account, you can create a new account here.

3. After accepting the invitation, you’ll be prompted to add your credit card to the business profile.

Why do I need to do this? You must have a backup payment method on file just in case your ride costs more than $12.

How do I use it?

Open the Uber app and input your pick up and drop off locations.

Remember, the $12 ride credit only applies to rides that start or end within 0.25 miles of Oracle Park.

Review your ride details - be sure to check the payment method at the bottom of the screen! It may automatically default to your personal credit/debit card.

Click on the payment method at the bottom of the screen to open your Payment Options.

Select "Business" to apply your $12 credit. Then tap the X in the top left corner of the screen.

Verify that SF Giants is now your payment method, then tap the "Choose UberX" button at the bottom of the screen to call your ride.
