A prospective candidate must
be a rising 11th or 12th grader
possess an unweighted GPA no lower than 87%
We will calculate all GPAs and make eligibility determinations at the end of each school year, whereafter we will notify all candidates via their school email. An individual who does not meet these prerequisites will not be allowed to proceed with an application to the NHS.
Interested candidates must join the NHS Google Classroom (the Google Classroom code is affixed to the email notifying them of their eligibility) and must also submit the Student Information Survey, which acts as their application to the NHS. As part of their Student Information Survey, candidates will be required to
Complete and submit the Community Service Hours Form, with at least 30 hours of community service
Complete and submit the Student Information Form
Submit five (5) teacher recommendations and up to three (3) additional outside recommendations from individuals not related to the applicant
For verification purposes, we require that all submitted community service hours be signed by the organization which is giving the service hours. See the Community Service Hours Form for additional instructions.

All candidates will be formally notified in writing on the disposition of the Faculty Council on their application.
