Units of Study
While studying the Eastern Hemisphere, we will focus on the ancient Geography, History, Economics, and Government of each of the following regions:
Africa ( Ancient Egypt: September - October)
Middle East (Mesopotamia: November - Mid-January)
South Asia (Ancient India: Mid-January - February)
East Asia (Ancient China: March - Mid-April)
Europe (Ancient Greece: Mid-April - June)
*Please note, these dates are approximate and depend upon the rate in which the class moves through each unit of study.
Class Agenda
Students are expected to enter the class and immediately check the weekly agenda posted on the board. This agenda is also available at all times in Google Classroom and on this website under the Weekly Agenda sub-page. The agenda outlines the daily class activities, upcoming due dates, important announcements, and any homework assignments. It’s a helpful resource to stay informed about what’s happening each day and to know what tasks to begin working on right away.
Parents are encouraged to regularly check the agenda as well to stay informed about what’s happening in class and to support their child in staying on top of their assignments.
