Confirm Patient Location
Must confirm that the patient is physically present in a state where they are licensed.
Sessions should not occur if the Provider is physically located outside the United States, as crossing international borders can impact licensure and legal requirements. This same restriction applies to clients who are outside the country during the session.
Confidential Space & Privacy
Conduct sessions in a private, quiet location to maintain confidentiality.
Use headphones as needed to enhance privacy and reduce background noise.
Internet & Connection Stability
Ensure a stable internet connection before sessions.
Use a wired connection or strong Wi-Fi to prevent disruptions.
Perform a test call if unsure about connectivity.
Professional Presence
Ensure good lighting and a neutral background to maintain professionalism.
Position the camera at eye level to facilitate better engagement with the patient.
Use of Proper Equipment
Providers should use a laptop or computer for sessions, as mobile devices may not support essential provider tools.
HIPAA & Ethical Standards Compliance
Always verify patient identity
Maintain strict HIPAA compliance by ensuring all communications and session details remain confidential.
Follow ethical standards and company policies when handling patient information.
Active License Maintenance
You are responsible for ensuring that all actively used licenses remain current and in good standing.
Renewal Timeline: All licenses must be renewed no later than 2 weeks prior to the expiration date.
Submission of Renewed License: Email a copy of your renewed license to support@sevenstarling.com immediately upon renewal.
Notification Requirement: If you do not wish to renew a license or need to change your licensing status, notify support@sevenstarling.com immediately- ideally 30+ days before expiration.
Early notification allows us to:
Transition patient care smoothly
Reassign patients without disruption
Update scheduling systems appropriately
Prevent impact on patient access to care
Important: Delays in notification can negatively affect patient care continuity and create operational challenges.
Review our active states and states launching soon on the Flock File main page. This resource is updated regularly with state priorities.
Optimal Licensure for Full Utilization: We recommend providers hold licensure in approximately 10 states to maximize time spent on the platform. Woudl focus on obtaining a handful of licenses in large populous states like TX, CA, NY, FL and then the rest in more mid-sized, smaller states to round out your licenses.
In the rare event you need to reschedule patients due to illness or other emergency notify support@sevenstarling.com
