Bodies of Water

The Sevastopol School Ecological Reserve has three different bodies of water to explore.

The Pond

The pond is a small pond near the beginning of the trails. There is much wildlife and plant life there. It is a beautiful ring of cattails around it. The pond is manmade with 1,500 square feet of room and 5 feet of water. The pond dosen't even have a meme?

The Sewage Lagoons

The sewage lagoon is two large ponds in the outskirts of the reserve. The sewage is regularly inspected by specialists for problems in the cleaning The northern pond is where the actual sewage goes, where the plants clean it and it filters the clean sewage into the southern pond. The southern pond then either evaporates of is emptied into the creek. It is used to hold, receive, and treat sewage. The wind and germs help clean the water. It is an active sewage dump that you can go to! The reserve has a trail directly to the lagoon and you can see it with your own eyes!

Geisel Creek

There is even a creek in its area! The i large creek that runs straight through the park is called the Geisel Creek. It also creates many different small swamps. Some volunteers even built some bridges over the wet areas. The creek can be up to 30 feet wide or completely dry. The creek starts in Valmy Swamp, and empties in Dunes Lake
