The ALEKS Math Assessment ensures students' readiness for quantitative coursework. Due to the rigor of this type of coursework, it is important to begin with a strong foundation of mathematical knowledge.
ALEKS identifies students' current strengths related to mathematics. After the initial assessment, students may access individualized learning modules to refresh and relearn forgotten skills and then choose to reassess.
ALEKS is not an exam. The results will NOT impact admittance into Seton Hill University. The goal of ALEKS PPL is to provide a pathway for successful completion of quantitative coursework across many disciplines including business, science, and statistics.
The ALEKS PPL increases student retention while saving students time and money. Dishonest work on the assessment can cause a negative impact on GPA or possibly result in a graduation delay due to the need to repeat coursework. Cheating violates the academic policies outlined in the Seton Hill Student Code of Contact.
