ALEKS PPL
Mathematics Assessment/Prep & Learning Modules
MEET WITH THE MATH ENRICHMENT CENTER TO SET GOALS AND INCREASE YOUR SCORE!
If you completed ALEKS and your score has expired, you must retake the assessment.
NOTE: Your ALEKS score may satisfy the prerequisite for a course, but your major determines which course is required for your plan of study. Talk with your advisor about your individual math requirements.
ALEKS PPL consists of a powerful artificial intelligence-based assessment that determines the strengths and weaknesses of students' current mathematical knowledge. After the initial assessment, students may access individualized learning modules to refresh and relearn forgotten skills. Students may reassess, if needed.
ALEKS is not an exam. The results will NOT impact admittance into Seton Hill University. The goal of ALEKS PPL is to provide a pathway for successful completion of mathematical coursework across any discipline. Knowledge assessed on the ALEKS Placement Assessment aligns with prerequisite skills necessary for business and science courses as well.
RESEARCH SHOWS THAT UNIVERSITIES USING THE ALEKS PPL INCREASES STUDENT RETENTION AND ULTIMATELY SAVES STUDENTS TIME, MONEY, AND GPA!

Honest work is the best work. ALEKS PPL is used only to help students achieve the incoming level of knowledge required for coursework at Seton Hill University. Dishonest work on the assessment can cause a negative impact on GPA or possibly result in a delay of graduation due to the need to repeat courses. Cheating violates the academic policies and principle stated in the Seton Hill Student Code of Conduct
