Purpose
To ensure the successful management of the team and welfare of the players in your care, whilst making sure that all off field matters are dealt with efficiently and timely. Provide support to the coach and any support staff.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities for the role of Junior Team Manager include:
Liaise with all team members, parents, coaches and officials to ensure all are informed of training, competition and club functions
Attend to administrative matters as directed by the Club, these include coordinating team photos, distributing raffle information, advising changes to team training and matches
Liaise with the players, parents, coaches and the Committee, acting as a liaison officer between the Club and the Team
Act as Game Marshall for your team on game days, addressing any member who is not upholding the Club ethos
Document any problems/altercations/suspensions that arise between team members, coaches, parents and supporters, and present these to the Committee.
Manage the playing strips and equipment (includes substitute bibs for junior competitive teams)
Coordinate return of equipment to appropriate storage area after training and matches and return of the playing strip at season end
Coordinate submission of team sheets and match reports if required after both home and away matches using the Squadi App NOTE: MiniRoos Coaches are not responsible for submitting team sheets or entering match scores
Determine weekly awards with appropriate Coach and support staff
Relationships
Reports to the President and Secretary
Supports the Coach and Committee
Liaise with players, parents and club supporters
Requirements
Must hold a current Working with Children Blue Card and register as a Manager utilising both the Squadi and Play Football platforms
Must complete “Safeguarding Children and Young People in Sport Induction” online course available through the Sport Integrity Australia - Play By The Rules initiative
Must join both the SESFC Coaches & Managers and SESFC Parents & Players Private Facebook Groups
Will wear the Club polo or colours when representing the Club
Will represent the Club in a professional manner
Will be passionate about the Club and Team
Can commit to 3 hours per week for training and matches during the duration of the season
Knowledge and Skills
Great communicator with good organisational skills
Knowledge of the rules of competition
