February is here! Back in the old calendar, it used to be considered the first month of spring due to the changing angle of the sun. With that in mind, see below for all sorts of updates: 

-Maymester Classes: We are now taking Dual Enrollment sign ups for the Maymester (May to June)! You can see a list of the classes we are offering as well as the dates for the classes. It will be in a hybrid fashion, so the classes will utilize both in person and asynchronous (independent, online) work. You can register here:  https://forms.gle/VDS2437JSDpLKJsp8

-Sign ups for ECHS in Junior or Senior Year: Sign ups for ECHS have begun for next year. If you are currently a sophomore or junior, please fill out the below forms with your intention to join the full time program at Massasoit (a lengthier email was sent to both classes in a previous email). This process has multiple parts, so make sure that you read all of the requirements:

-Freshman Information Session: If you are a freshman or a parent interested in Dual Enrollment or Early College High School, we are having an information session on March 19th at 6pm in the SPAC that you can sign up for: https://forms.gle/ctnzBA1eXSFgkdp28

September 12th, 2023- Welcome back!
We are already starting to plan a very full year for Early College High School and Dual Enrollment. See below for several events and announcements: 

Fall Dual Enrollment Classes begin on Tuesday, September 19th after school

November Accuplacer Sign Ups
Southeastern will host the Accuplacer test on November 1st (Reading and Writing) and November 7th (Math). Please sign up using the below link if you are interested:

ECHS/ Dual Enrollment Information Night
Southeastern will host an information session about its Early College High School and Dual Enrollment programs on October 17th, 2023 between 6:30pm to 7:30pm in the performing arts center. If you are a freshman or sophomore interested in joining the full-time ECHS program in your junior year or if you want to know more about the after school Dual Enrollment classes, then please sign up using the link below:

May 2nd- Fall Dual Enrollment Classes Announced

We are starting to take the names of students who are interested in signing up for after school Dual Enrollment classes for the fall semester. You can find more information and sign up here:

Note that we are offering a new class Film and Society which will replace Art History. We might go back to offering Art History again in the spring, but we wanted to try something different this semester with the humanities requirement. Film and Society and Art History fulfill the same requirements in terms of the associate's degree. 

April 17th - April 21st - April Vacation at Southeastern
All Dual Enrollment classes are canceled during this time. However, full- time ECHS seniors are required to go to class at Massasoit

April 4th - Individual Dual Enrollment (IDEA) Classes at Massasoit over Summer

If you are interested in taking a class over the summer that is not offered through Dual Enrollment or ECHS, then see me or your guidance counselor. We help you register with Massasoit for a summer class. Note that Southeastern will not cover the costs of these classes and these classes become your academic responsibility (i.e. the normal supports that we offer would not be in place). The cost of the classes range from about $150 to $800 each depending on the number of credits and if the classes are eligible for cost reduction.  Make sure that you see me or your guidance counselor first  to ensure the cost is reduced, if possible. March 3rd- Summer Dual Registration Now Open - Due to the fact that we will not have a traditional Maymester this year due to scheduling conflicts, we will be hosting a hybrid model for summer Dual Enrollment classes this year. March 1st - Accuplacer from Southeastern Dates Announced- Southeastern will host the Accuplacer tests on Monday, April 3rd (for Math) and Monday, April 10th (for Reading/Writing). You can sign up through this link:

Full-time ECHS Juniors are still required to go to campus on February 21st, 22nd and 24th

January 26th, 2023- Spring Classes are underway! Make sure that you are attending classes afterschool and to work as hard as you can! You can see a schedule of classes for both ECHS and Dual Enrollment under the Schedule for Spring Semester on this website!
