Sequoia Union Agriculture Program

Welcome to the Sequoia Union Elementary Agriculture Program!

Our Agriculture Program provides TK–8 students with meaningful, hands-on experiences rooted in agriculture, leadership, stewardship, and real-world responsibility.

Through classroom education, outdoor projects, and hands-on learning, students discover how agriculture connects to science, business, sustainability, and everyday life here in California's Central Valley.

As our program continues to grow, so do the opportunities we can provide our students!

The Sequoia Union Elementary Agriculture Program brings agriculture to life through:

Classroom agricultural education
Hands-on projects and outdoor learning
Leadership and student engagement
The Ag Reads literacy initiative
School-wide agricultural experiences
Development of our 5-acre student farm

Through these experiences, students build practical skills, confidence, responsibility, and a deeper connection to the agriculture that shapes our Central Valley community.

Building the Future: 5-Acre Student Farm

One of our largest initiatives is the development of a 5-acre student farm and outdoor learning environment adjacent to our school.

The farm will give students opportunities to grow crops, care for livestock, explore science and sustainability, and experience agriculture firsthand.

Development is already underway — and we're just getting started.
