Class of 2023
After discovering a passion for science early in their lives, Christopher and Nicholas Kwok co-founded Sequoia High School's Science Olympiad. They were motivated by the lack of science opportunities on campus. Through science fairs and Science Bowl, their interest in STEM has grown beyond themselves as they wish to share their excitement with the community. In high school, the brothers garnered numerous awards, including top awards at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair, Raytheon Technologies Invention Convention Globals, Stockholm Junior Water Prize, Penn Climate Venture Prize, and Genius Olympiad. Their scientific research has ignited their devotion to environmental sciences, explaining the many exotic reptiles they own. Outside of Science Olympiad, they play double reed instruments in the Sequoia Advanced Band and Peninsula Youth Orchestra. Additionally, the twins are heavily involved in March for Our Lives and Model United Nations, where they had won National High School Model United Nations in 2021.

Nicholas is the Vice President of Sequoia Science Olympiad. Nicholas joined Science Olympiad because both of his parents are scientists, and he's interested in epidemiology. That's why he's in Disease Detectives! However, when he's not studying clinical trials and vectors of diseases, he loves hanging out and playing video games with his friends. Those activities help him relax and get into a proper mindset after a stressful day at school.
