Many Science Olympiad teams associate fees and financial burdens with participation; however, Sequoia Science Olympiad has deliberately tried to avoid this to ensure equity amongst students. With generous donations from families and the PTSA, the organization supports students, regardless of financial ability, with the tools to succeed and prosper within Science Olympiad.

All team activities operate primarily on parent donations, so in order to have a successful year, the team requires parent involvement. However, Sequoia Science Olympiad recognizes that all students are from different backgrounds, so we are prepared to set up students for success, regardless of financial ability.
