We are so excited for our fall musical Into the Woods!
Our production will be set in the classic Brothers Grimm fairytale world, which draws inspiration from medieval folklore and 14th-16th century rural Germany and France. This setting will help emphasize the ways fairytales inherited from the past clash with contemporary attitudes towards collective responsibility. Our show will be thematically focused on the consequences of wishes. In our production, the woods will represent the interconnected nature of our existence, and the ensemble will be the "spirits of the woods." The woods will reveal the ways our actions and ambitions have ripple effects on others, and they will expose the danger and destruction that results when we ignore the impact our individual (and sometimes selfish) desires can have on our communities and environment. Our production will aim to emphasize the contrast between one's optimistic, hopeful dreams and the harsh, darker realities everyone must learn to confront and adapt to. Ultimately, the woods will teach characters to transform by embracing the interdependence of our journeys.

By the end of July, we aim to post audition requirements, tech crew roles/leads info, a character breakdown, and a sample production calendar.
In the meantime, we invite you to start to become familiar with the show by listening to the music and researching the fairytales and characters that are woven throughout this majestic musical!
