This Best of SNO feature article delves deep into the ethics of animal breeding vs animal shelters. My goal with this project was to include a wide variety of perspectives on the issue, from shelter and rescue workers to breeders. Thus, I was able to obtain many insightful interviews that helped me understand the underlying questions: Why do people want to buy from breeders? Is breeding bad?

This Best of SNO feature article discusses what exactly the term "Cancel Culture" is and whether it is beneficial or harmful. I decided to get three perspectives on this issue: a social media expert, a human rights advocate, and a student. I got new ideas from each person, making it a bit of a challenge to put this article together!

This Best of SNO feature article was created with my friends Lara Ibasco and Marlena Reinshagen. It was difficult to figure out how to split up the work, partly due to poor communication in the beginning. However, in the end, we all made our contributions by splitting the story into three sections: an intro to falconry, an explanation of factors causing a decrease in birds around the world, and finally, ways individuals can directly help these birds. I was not very familiar with this topic beforehand, so it was fascinating to learn more about raptors and birds!
