As the curtains closed on the very first iteration of HorizonMUN, the ambitious vision of HorizonMUN became a reality through your dedication, diplomacy, and passion.
Over the course of our conference, three dynamic committees—the General Assembly, ECOSOC, and the Security Council—brought together 40~ talented delegates who tackled global issues with insight, courage, and a genuine desire to create change. Your debates, resolutions, and moments of collaboration embodied exactly what HorizonMUN stands for: expanding across the horizons .
We were deeply honored to welcome a guest speaker from the United Nations from the International Vaccine Institute, whose insights into global health and international cooperation reminded us of the real-world significance of our discussions.
Of course, no first chapter is without its hurdles. Our opening moments were tested by a sudden Zoom crash—but what could have been a setback only proved the resilience and adaptability of our team and participants. With grace and flexibility, we pressed forward, a testament to the spirit of diplomacy under pressure.
To our chairs and staff: thank you for your leadership and hard work. To our delegates: thank you for your energy, preparation, and thoughtful engagement. And to everyone who believed in this conference: thank you for helping us take the first step in what we hope will be a long and meaningful journey.
Here’s to many more iterations, more voices heard, and more horizons reached.
