Esteemed Secretariat, Fellow Presidents and Chairs, Delegates,
my name is Rocco Cipollone, I’m an eighteen-year-old Italian student, currently attending my last year of Italian high school at Liceo Mamiani, in Rome.
It is my great honor to be the President of the Security Council for this first edition of Horizon MUN. During this conference we will be tackling real issues that are present in the world. It is important to be aware of the problems that this world is facing because we are the future.
The carefully selected agendas to be debated upon are as follows: "Addressing the issue of finding possible solutions to the Kashmir Dispute based on past U.N. involvement" and "Addressing the critical need to assess multilateral approaches to stability and conflict resolution in Syria."
It is up to our generation to find viable solutions to these real-world problems. Through this conference, I thus hope to invite all of you to take part in the fight for our future.
Sincerely, Rocco Cipollone
President of Security Council
