I made this bar graph that represents the gender gap from 2010 ~ 2020. I was unable to find the gap of 2019 from my source, Wikipedia. In this bar graph, the lighter the bar is, the more recent the time. If gender inequality is non-existant, the score will be one. Here is the global gap report in Wikipedia where you can view the gender gaps all around the world: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_Gender_Gap_Report
In South Korea, it is often thought that women are worse or incapable of working than men. In 2016, a job hiring for the Seoul Metro System took place. The results were a mixture of men and women. Yet the Metro rejected the women and claimed that "it wasn't a job for women". In 1998 there was a financial struggle in Korea, and when companies fired their employees, most companies fired the women first. In an article in CNN called "South Korea's glass ceiling: the women struggling to get hired by companies that only want men", an interview with a 23 year old women showed how many people in Korea do not think that jobs are fit for women. In her job interview, the interviewer said, "women aren't fit to work in sales".
