Fundraising time
To become THE smart IoT platform for the SME globally, we need to scale fast in terms of product (expansion of our sensor suite & algorithms/advice), operations (fulfilment, onboarding and advising) and sales (multi geo & cross-sell). To allow for such a rapid growth we need a significant amount of capital. To get this capital, we just started our new fundraise process! Here, a quick overview of what our goal is, what the process looks like and what is expected from you.
The goal
We are aiming to raise €25M at a growth equity investor*. We will use these proceeds to launch new propositions, to strengthen our algorithms & advice and to increase our sales team within Europe.
The process
Officially, we started the fundraise process last Wednesday. However, unofficially we started 3 months ago. We started doing intro calls with growth equity investors and qualified them in terms of ticket size, industry focus, culture fit and geo focus. We ended up with approximately 20 qualified investors.
Last Wednesday, we gave them access to our data room. Which is the GitHub for fundraising (version control). The coming weeks we expect a lot of data requests, team member interviews and office visits. And then hopefully, we receive many term sheets** before the end of March.
What is expected from you?
The potential investors are most interested in the team. In the end, the team is the most important predictive factor for success. Therefore, they’ll want to interview you. Anouk will be the bridge between the investors and the team regarding these interviews. What we ask from you, is to be flexible if Anouk asks you to help with such a meeting. But no worries, we will prep you before these meetings!
I’m very excited for this fundraise process and look forward to what the future brings us.
Best regards,
Pieter Broekema

** A term sheet is a nonbinding agreement that shows the basic terms and conditions of an investment.
