At our school, we strive to provide students with enriching, hands-on experiences through a diverse selection of electives. These classes are designed to spark curiosity, foster creativity, and help students discover new passions beyond the core curriculum.
Health Connected
During Extended School Year (ESY - aka summer school), Health Connected provides comprehensive, evidence-based sexual health education to youth, aiming to reduce unintended pregnancies, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), and promote overall well-being. They offer age-appropriate curricula and training programs for educators, empowering young people with the knowledge and skills needed for healthy relationships and informed decision-making. For initial information, you can view these links that show the Table of Contents for each lesson of the curriculum and the explanation of standards met:
We also provide a physical copy of the Teen Talk Middle School and High School curriculum binders for families to preview at our school office. The binders will have all the content including instructor notes, activities, student handouts, and background information. Health Connected asks that parents aren't permitted to make copies or take photos of the material while viewing, and the binders don't leave the premises.
