Parents’ wish list for college and career ready experiences also included having authentic problem-solving experiences around real-world issues (75%) and working with classmates on projects (62%), both key tenets of project-based learning.
Researchers from the University of Southern California (USC) found that students in AP PBL courses outperformed students in traditional AP courses by 8 percentage points
Compared to students in traditional classes, students engaged in PBL scored higher on assessments of problem solving skills and application of content to real-world problems, as well as on standardized testing.
PBL Experiences
All students in grades K-12 will experience (2) authentic project-based learning experiences per year in every single class, totaling an average of 4-6 PBLs per year.
Technology Integration
All projects include a digital component to sharpen students' technology skills
Teacher Collaboration
Teachers collaborate across subject-areas and grade levels to enhance students' project experiences.
Tennessee STEM Innovation Network
