Construction of the windowed 6DoF VR Image

We have designed and constructed a system to capture a scene along various views as below. The system consists of a wood frame, a long slider, 16 smartphones, and power suppliers.

The following figure shows the process to generate 6 DoF image which is represented by point cloud. The final image is made from 16 pictures which have been taken by the above system.

The following video explains the overall process to generate the point cloud data supporting 6 DoF. From this video, you can see the way how to make the point cloud data step by step.

The following video shows the final 6DoF data generated by MSP members. After the data has been construct, you can see the scene along various arbitrary view angles as you want to see.
