About Us
About Us
The Jim Barnes Middle School Toreador Band consists of 200 students 6th - 8th Grade. The Band Program has a history of achieving and maintaining excellence throughout the years, always allowing students to reach their full potential in music. The 6th Grade Beginner Band is a consistent Schlitterbahn Soundwaves "Best in Class" and "Best Band of the Day" ensemble, while the 7/8th Grade performing Bands receive consistent 1st Division Sweepstakes awards at UIL Concert & Sightreading. Musical growth and excellence is what the JBMS Band is all about. We are excited to continue the tradition into the 2026-2027 school year!
