The registration fee includes participation in the symposium, evening reception, exhibition area, and lunch tickets.

Optional registration fee
An additional fee is required to participate in the field tour.
Participation in the reception only, as well as participation by accompanying persons in the reception or tour, is also available.
Eligibility
This travel grant is available only to students whose oral or poster presentations have been accepted for the 16th SEGJ International Symposium, to be held in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan, from September 27 to 30, 2026.
The Student Travel Grant provides reimbursement for eligible travel expenses up to the following maximum amounts:
・ Participants traveling from outside Japan: up to JPY 50,000
・ Participants traveling from within Japan: up to JPY 30,000
The actual amount reimbursed will be the lesser of the applicant’s eligible travel expenses and the applicable maximum amount.

Please note that invitation letters from the organizers will only be issued to participants who meet the requirements.
Requirements for VISA Application (at least one of the following must be met):
(1) The applicant must be an author or co-author who has submitted an abstract and completed registration, including payment.
(2) The applicant must be an employee of a company exhibiting a booth.
Participants who require a visa to enter Japan should apply for a Short-Term Stay Visa. For detailed requirements and application procedures, please consult the Japanese embassy or consulate in your country.
If you need a visa to enter Japan, we strongly recommend that you complete the necessary procedures with the Japanese Embassy at least one month before your trip.
To apply for a visa, you will need a letter of invitation from the organizer. To receive an invitation letter, please send your request to 16thsegj_support [at] keio-kanko.co.jp after completing the registration process and payment on this page.
