Welcome to our Lockdown learning page. This page serves as a landing point for us as we travel this journey together.
We have put on some great sites that all the children can access to do things online, including listening to stories and working on their basic facts and maths skills.
At the start of each week, I’ll post a few specific things for that week's learning menu. I’ll also put them on Seesaw as well.
These activities will also be posted on Seesaw
Crazy Monsters
If you haven't already taught someone at home how to draw our crazy monsters, you can use the video tutorial. Share your completed monsters with me via Seesaw. I've also included a fish one
Answer the questions as they may help you use the picture as a story prompt.
What happened before this picture?
How did the house get on top of the dragon? Who tied it onto the dragon’s back?
Is the dragon happy about this?
How do the girl and the dragon know one another?
Why is the girl sitting on top of the house and not inside it?
Is anyone else inside the house?
Where did the kites come from?
Where are the girl and the dragon going?
Why are they travelling in this way?
Give this picture a more interesting title.
This activity is the same as the one on Seesaw
Write as many ways as you can to make 10, 100 and 100.
Remember to use +, -, x, and division if you can
See if you can complete one of the maths activities from one of the websites. If the internet is being silly, write our as many number sentences that add up to and subtract from 20 like the example above
Use the prompt to write a short speech. Remember to give the reasons as to why you have chosen those 3 things.
You could record yourself on Seesaw or send me your writing. Maybe see if you can get someone else in your family to do the same thing and see if they had the same or different things!
Choose 8 of these words to practice like we do in class on our sound boxes.
How many sounds?
Put them in boxes
Write the word again.
High, flight, sight, fright, sigh, night, might, light, slight, thigh, right, tight, bright
There are some fun things to do on here - enjoy the sunshine today
