About the Festival
The Smith-Cotton Marching Invitational (SCI) is an annual marching band festival held at Smith-Cotton High School in Sedalia, MO. This contest is open to bands across the midwest to compete in field competition, indoor guard, and indoor percussion. SCI offers a beautiful synthetic turf performance surface and an in-person clinic immediately following each field show. Bands are classified into competitive divisions according to band enrollment. Registration opens annually in March or April.
SCI 2026 will be held on Saturday, October 3. If you are a band director and would like to register your group, please click here.
