Abigail Aderonmu

Abigail Aderonmu is a Postdoctoral Research Associate with the International Center for Energy, Environment and Sustainability (InCEES) at Washington University in St Louis. Her research interests focus on the human dimensions of global environmental change, including climate change and variability, adaptation, mitigation, as well as vulnerability and resilience in agricultural systems. At InCEES, through a collaborative effort, she is leading the development of a Midwest Climate Research Agenda. This collaborative research effort aims to develop a stakeholder driven climate research framework for the midwestern region of the United States by identifying multi-sectoral climate research priorities and needs through synthesizing current knowledge about climate impacts and solutions.

A native of Nigeria, Aderonmu earned a PhD in Geoscience and Social Science and a MSc in Urban and Environmental Geoscience from the University of Missouri- Kansas City (UMKC). Her undergraduate degree in Geography is from Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria. Her training is interdisciplinary, which enables her to leverage knowledge and skills across multiple disciplines in science and social science.
