Tax Crypto-currency?

I strongly believe in the future of not only the crypto-currency but also the philosophy of a technology-economics co-design. Basically they take care of different aspects and Bitcoin has shown how it could work: Cryptography enables new possibility (anonymous and decentralization) while PoW provides incentives and guards the mechanism.

The tech part of Bitcoin is actually rather simple. It is smart since it does not make any restrictive assumptions against humanity, from my perspective. Designs can be smarter easily, but they fail in practice if they assume human are cooperative, altruistic, responsible, reliable, or trustworthy.

In the end, something only happens/lasts if it has mutual benefits. Relationship, regime, international trade, domestic policies, or a game-changing technology. A government trying to ban a incentive-compatible design is the same as a government promoting incentive-incompatible actions, and they are doomed to fail. Where there is no legal market, there are black-markets.

People should learn to co-exist with it, and prepare for further freedom, where compulsory governing falls apart and tax become voluntary and participatory.
