Tips of Fastboot & Root

This thread did help me with the Temporarily booting a custom recovery using fastboot.

Specifically, fastboot flash boot <recovery_filename>.img did not work on my Linux machine, it hangs without output.

In shell.. get ready with the command for flashing recovery but don't press enter yet.. during this time the device should be disconnected ...be ready with ur device in hand and usb cable... And quickly connect to the charging port of the phone and quickly press enter...it all should happen within a sec.

magically works... It is mind-blowing for me that it worked...

Now I have a phone running Lineage OS, prouder than ever to achieve this 5 year-long dream :)

Warning: The Lineage OS + Magisk combo could possibly break some requirements for the following apps:

1. Venmo (you can still use web client)

2. Netflix (not always broken, depends on the device)
