Formal Concert Attire
The Following is required:
Men- black dress pants, white button-up dress shirt, black tie, black socks, & black dress shoes.
Ladies- LONG black skirt or dress pants, white shirt/blouse, and nice dress shoes (shoes may be flat or heals). Ladies may also wear any combination of black and white or LONG black dress.
LADIES- The skirt or dress must not be shorter than right above the knee. A LONG dress or skirt is preferred.
Honors Choir ladies are required to wear a long black dress. Please see me if this is an issue.
Please keep the 4 B’s in mind- Please do not show your BELLY, BOSOM (chest area), BOTTOM (buttocks area), and BACK.
Honors Choir members will wear the Honors Choir robes for all concerts/professional performance.
Strong perfumes, colognes, and “flashy” jewelry should be avoided. Chorus colleagues may be allergic or have an aversion to perfumes or colognes. “Flashy” jewelry may be distracting to chorus colleagues and audience members. It is preferred that hair be pulled back or out of the face.
Remember: CLASSY, not trashy. This is a professional environment, so please dress appropriately.
Appropriate concert attire is expected of ALL music department students; inappropriate dress will affect their concert grade. If this dress code is a burden for your family, please contact me at
