The workshop aimed to create an engagement around the body, toxicity and resistance in conjunction with architecture. The way the body dwells in architecture and reflects on its surroundings. The design of infra-structure material and its ideology changing the collective psychology. What is this process of change in making and unmaking of daily performativity of the body by the infrastructure will be a space to unpack in the workshop.
The gesture changes on the type of work being performed at various locations and spaces. I was closely looking at the gesture of sitting on a chair for various tasks. These positions may vary person to person depending on how the body reacts to a gesture for a period of time. The body gesture changes depending on the work and the context. The gesture of sitting on a chair changes when a particular gesture becomes numb and one tends to change the gesture to find comfort.
The 30 minute video shows how the body changes its gesture on a chair in order to find comfort.
