The electrical layout becomes an important part while making a false ceiling in order to locate points depending on the type of lighting provided in each space to improve its efficiency. The lighting enhances the space and each space has different lux levels depending on the task. The lights used are recessed ceiling lights, profile lights, cove lights, floor and corner lamps and hanging lights.
The living room becomes an entry point to the house. And is a most used space in one room kitchen apartments. MDF panelling with tinted lime plaster finished walls, covers and vertical depressions are created to elevate the space further.
1. The TV unit with an oak finish goes well with the theme, with a jute lamp while the Corian top binds all together.
2. White coloured sofa cum bed is provided with a floor lamp making it a cozy space for reading along with the fabrics of blue hues which breaks the subtleness of the space.
3. Sliding door wardrobe is provided to save space and shutters are made of jute fabric making it look rustic.
The flooring used in the entire house is vitrified tiles which are easy to maintain.
The kitchen is the most frequently used space. It has to be efficient for all. Light beige color laminate and oak laminates makes the kitchen look much bigger.
Besides sink, there is a point for R.O below which matka can be placed. Inbuilt storage for microwave and oven is made beside a glass tall unit to showcase the crockery.
Quartz stone is used as a countertop. The Hettich tandem drawers and organizers are used.
Storage for daily utilities is provided right above the washing machine over the ledge for laundry so that the used clothes of 2-3 days can be kept and the house doesn’t stink.
As to add a few coastal colours. Light blue colour subway ceramic tiles are used as a dado. Counter top wash basin is provided with a ledge below.
Hanging lamp and a mirror with LED light is provided to elevate the space.
A similar concept as the bathroom goes for the powder room where light sea green tiles are used. A small storage with rattan shutter is provided to keep accessories and a ledge below the counter. For both the flooring used is white terrazzo tiles.
Bar unit is provided for small family gatherings.
To make the wall behind look rustic, the texture is achieved by the lime plaster.
