SD Youth Services-TAY
San Diego Youth Services works to end the cycle of homelessness. We provide shelter and transitional housing for children and young adults, without a home, who otherwise would have nowhere to go. Through our programs, we move youth experiencing homelessness into safe and stable housing and provide the tools and training they need to create a healthy path in life. They build independent living skills through intensive, in-home case management, counseling, and wraparound services to get them back on their feet. Our transitional housing and support also provide them with time to complete their education and get sustainable employment.
211
We strive to meet your housing needs ranging from transitional housing, affordable housing, information on fair housing, and housing resources for seniors and people with disabilities. We work closely with cities and local housing agencies in San Diego County like Community Housing Works, San Diego Housing Commission, Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and HUD-approved agencies to ensure we have an updated database of housing resources and options. If you are looking for housing assistance, call 2-1-1 to speak with someone who can assess your situation and housing needs.
If You Are Experiencing Homelessness and/or looking for housing resources, connect with a homeless service provider to explore all available shelter options.
Doors of Change-Solving Youth Homelessness
Our mission is to act as advocates to support homeless youth ages 17-24 and provide access to the resources they need to improve their quality of life. We aim to get them off the streets into safe housing and help them attain self-sufficiency. We provide rapid, empathetic care to homeless youth who are looking for a way off of the streets. Since 2001, Doors of Change™ has been transforming the lives of homeless youth in San Diego County, one young person at a time. For more than 23 years we have helped over 2,900 homeless youth get off the streets into shelters, permanent housing, and we have provided other forms of support for long-term self sustainability.
Housing our youth-YMCA
A program dedicated to addressing the urgent problem of homelessness among young people. Every day, thousands of young people find themselves without a safe and stable place to call home. This can lead to a host of difficulties, including exposure to violence and exploitation, poor health outcomes, and limited access to education and employment opportunities. Our program aims to provide young people with the support and resources they need to break the cycle of homelessness and build a brighter future for themselves.
Housing Our Youth is a program that provides specialized assistance to young adults up to the age of 24 who are at-risk or experiencing homelessness. The program is designed to intercept youth experiencing homelessness and provide them with immediate housing and wraparound support, while simultaneously searching for more permanent and stable housing options.
