Welcome to the SDVS Counseling Department. Our Team offers a variety of counseling services tailored to student needs. We focus on supporting the "Whole Student" and we offer both academic and socio-emotional support to students (at times this can include individual counseling, group counseling and/or support accessing community resources) and career/college planning support.

Hello! My name is Carolina Bracamonte and I am grateful to be a part of the Counseling Team here at SDVS. A little bit about me: I was raised in City Heights, a San Diego community known for its ethnic diversity. My experiences as a first-generation Mexican-American and first-generation college graduate have shaped my passion to work with children, youth and families. I received my bachelor's degree in sociology from UC Los Angeles and a master's degree in clinical social work/pupil personnel services credential from San Diego State University. I have acquired a varied work background over the past ten years (working in community agencies in San Diego and the Bay Area). I enjoy keeping balance in my life. I make it a priority to set aside time to relax, exercise, enjoy hobbies such as working on my plants, painting and writing, as well as spending time with family, friends and my two pets (Rambo-Rex and Cookie). I am grateful for the opportunity to serve and partner with all future students and their families. I am committed to supporting students to foster their strengths and thrive! I truly believe that our youth can change the world if we support and build on their strengths with love and compassion! Please reach out and let me know how I can be of support to you!
In Love and Gratitude -Carolina

Hello! My name is Brittanni Powell and I am a part of the wonderful Counseling team here at San Diego Virtual School. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Biological Psychology from UCSD, and my Master’s degree in Counseling along with a PPS Credential from Chapman University. My goal as your Counselor is to work with each and every student and their families to help make their educational journey meaningful, productive and (most of all) enjoyable! I truly enjoy working with our students and families, and helping them achieve their educational and personal goals.
I live in San Diego with my husband and our two young children. In our free time we enjoy going to the beach, watching Padres baseball, going on camping trips and exploring the outdoors.
