for current 9th - 11th grade Students

INSTRUCTIONS TO BEGIN COURSE selection:

In order to complete your 2023-2024 course selection please follow the FOUR STEPS below. We have provided several links, videos, and tutorials to help guide you in making thoughtful and informed decisions in choosing your classes.

STEP 2:

COMPLETE YOUR COURSE SELECTION CONTRACT

Refer to the KEY at the top of the page.
Place an “X” by the course ID number and course title of each class you choose.
Complete the “List all Classes” box which is on page 2 of your Course Selection Contract. Include both the course ID number and the course title of each class. You should have 7 course ID numbers/course titles. This will include unscheduled and off campus class periods. Rising Seniors, you will have 8 courses listed (to accommodate American Government and Economics). You must accunt for all 7 periods.
You must list 3 alternate courses for elective choices.
You must have a parent/guardian signature.

STEP 3:

ENTER YOUR COURSES IN AERIES- REQUIRED

You must have an active Aeries student account.

Please contact our Counseling Assistant, Janet.Daher@sduhsd.net as soon as possible if you need an account.

Use your completed COURSE SELECTION CONTRACT to assist you with entering courses in Aeries.

HOW TO SELECT COURSES IN AERIES

STEP 4:

Bring YOUR cOMPLETED Course selection contract to eNGLISH CLASS ON your aSSIGNED DAY

Current Juniors February 13th and February 14th

Current Sophomores February 15th, February 16th & February 17th

Current Freshmen February 27th & February 28th

On your assigned day, counselors will meet individually with each student to go over the courses selected and answer any questions.

Students have until May 12th to make adjustments to their course selections by completing a "Class Change Form" available in the Counseling Office.

IMPORTANT DATES FOR 2023-2024 COURSE SELECTION

RISING SENIORS
- - February 6th - February 14th: Aeries Course Selection window is open for you to enter your courses
  - February 13th and Februrary 14th: Course Selection Contracts due to Counselors- bring with you to English class
  - May 12th: Last Day to make changes to your 2023-2024 course selections

RISING JUNIORS
- - February 6th - February 17th: Aeries Course Selection window is open for you to enter your courses
  - February 15th, February 16th and February 17th: Course Selection Contracts due to Counselors - bring with you to English class
  - May 12th: Last Day to make changes to your 2023-2024 course selections

RISING SOPHOMORES
- - February 6th - February 28th: Aeries Course Selection window is open for you to enter your courses
  - February 27th and February 28th: Course Selection Contracts due to Counselors - bring with you to English class
  - May 12th: Last Day to make changes to your 2023-2024 course selections
